Language Diversity
Concept and design of a full-page visualization on the topic of linguistic diversity for the weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT. The visualization shows the 99 most common languages in the form of speech bubbles. The size of the bubbles represent the number of speakers and the color refers to the language families. Languages marked with a star are so called macro languages and contain several closely related languages.
