Translating worlds by Federica Fragapane

The visualization shows the influence of major world languages. We selected the first 30 languages by number of books translated (translations from the language). The languages are ordered on the x-axis by GDP per capita and on the y-axis by the population speaking that language. GDP has been calculated using the data referring to the population who speaks the language. Per each language are displayed: number of books translated from the language, number of books translated into the language, connection between the language and the main translation.
