The Delights and Frustrations of Learning Chinese Characters by Jane Zhang

As a Chinese-Canadian, I am always thinking of fun ways to learn Chinese. I have developed a method of learning Chinese characters from songs. The overall learning process can be both fun and frustrating. There are times of surprises when I figure out why a character is written a certain way. Then there are also times when I throw my hands in the air and don’t understand how I can’t recall a character I learned two seconds ago. I wanted to capture these feelings through this data visualization.
