Inaccessible: Disability Rights in Iran by Center for Human Rights in Iran

For most of the 12 million people living with disabilities in Iran, basic needs such as healthcare, education and transportation are inaccessible. One of the main reasons why is because Iran has still not implemented measures that would enable these citizens to live their lives on an equal level with those who do not have disabilities. These measures include compiling and publishing statistical and other forms of data on the community, and implementing the recommendations of the UN's Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities, which Iran ratified in 2009.
