50 Years of World Cup Doppelgangers by FiveThirtyEight

This project visualizes the performance of every World Cup player in the last 50 years. We generated a statistical fingerprint for each player based on 16 metrics, and created an interactive graphic that lets readers explore similarities and differences across thousands of players.
