Visualizing The History Of Fugazi by Carni Klirs, Maryland Institute College of Art

A series of visualizations on the history of the D.C. punk band Fugazi, produced first as a newsprint fanzine, and then as large format prints for an exhibition. Using data the band themselves collected during their 15 year career (1988-2003), these visualizations show who they played with, where they played, their family tree of associated bands, and in a new finding uncovered by this research, which charities they donated the more than $250,000 to that they raised by playing benefit concerts.
