What makes a Bong Joon Ho Movie? by James Round
I was thrilled to be asked by Neon Rated to produce a poster exploring the work of one of my favorite screenwriters and directors, Bong Joon Ho, as part of the US marketing for his latest movie, the Oscar winning, Parasite.
Over the last two decades, his work has eluded a single genre but maintained a focus on strong subject matter, a masterful balance of comedy and tragedy, and a visionary directorial style. This infographic explores the themes running through his work, some notable objects that appear in each of his movies, and the numerous unforgettable characters played by Bong’s frequent collaborator Song Kang Ho.
