Your Next Favorite Board Game by Paul Ross

Explorer of the top-rated games on boardgamegeek.com. My two main motivations were: (1) create separate leaderboards for games of different complexity (because the Top 100 page on BGG is dominated by complex games with no way to filter down to a ranked list of less complex games), and (2) elevate a lot of useful info that's buried on individual game pages (such as complexity and recommended player counts) onto a single explorer page. I used Power BI to first web-scrape the top 500 games, and then obtain more info about each one using the BGG API. I have personally discovered some great new games playing around with this viz, and I hope others will too :) Thanks for reading!
