Mass killings database reveals trends, details and anguish in every US event since 2006 by USA Today

USA Today partnered with The Associated Press and Northeastern university to revive a dormant database that tracks every mass killing in the United States, going back to 2006. The team at USA Today created a visual overview, showing the trends and summaries of this unique and collaborative database. The overview is built to be evergreen and data updates are automated each time a new incident is added to the database. The data pipelines and presentation are elegantly coded and built to be easily updated in perpetuity so that data on this important subject will be available for all to download, free of charge.
