The Simpsons - Most Popular Characters by Brian Moore

This visualization was created using open source data containing every word spoken by character and location, in the first 27 seasons of the Simpsons. The size of each circle represents the number of words spoken by each character. The designs for each character are created using thousands of non-overlapping horizontal lines to "fill" the circles. Designs were based on characters clothing, accessories, and interesting attributes. In the interactive version of the visualization, you can change how the characters are grouped, how the characters are sorted, and can hover over the characters for additional information.
