Why Me? Ending the Stigma of Miscarriage by Kim Ly Scott

Content Warning - Miscarriage

This visualisation was created in honour of International Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day last year.

It is estimated that one in four pregnancies end in miscarriage. However common it may seem, those who experience miscarriage can feel shame, stigma and guilt and can often feel alone in their experience.

With this viz, I wanted to open up the conversation and attempt to break down the stigma of miscarriage. I wanted people who have experienced miscarriage to know that they are not alone, they are not a statistic and miscarriage is not something that they need to feel guilty about.
