A Year of Calls by University of Art and Design Linz
During the pandemic, we were forced to avoid physical contact with people close to us. In order to maintain social contact, we fall back on a reliable method – making phone calls as a substitute for meeting face-to-face.
The work “A Year of Calls” devotes itself to one year of personal call logs and visualizes the change in call frequency depending on the corona pandemic and the related restrictions.
- Listing of 10 people sorted in chronological order by length of the relationship
- Each track visualizes the phone calls with a specific person
- The height of the amplitude corresponds to the average duration of the calls within a month
- The number of lines within an amplitude shows the number of phone calls within a month
