We were fortunate to find an amazing dataset on this one, since there was very little we had to do in terms of data cleaning. The original map, which showed the present abortion access at the time, was great in terms of information and color palette and provided a great base visualization to iterate from. The addition of the animation to the projected distances post-Roe vs. Wade turned out to be an incredibly powerful way to tell the story.
