Information Opium by Hunan Normal University

Information opium is a phenomenon of social media addiction, which manifests itself in the form of being addicted to all kinds of information in social media, thus adversely affecting one's physiology and psychology, and spending a great deal of time immersed in social media leading to an individual's addiction to social media. Fragmented and vulgar social media information constantly affects people's thinking and behaviour, and long-term exposure to this irrational state will have a negative impact on individuals' physical and mental health and social ecology. The work adopts the form of information visualisation to show the causes and consequences of social media addiction from three aspects: individual, media and society. The design incorporates Acid Graphics Colours and is dangerously hallucinogenic through pixel art and glitch art.
