Plants for Meadow Gardens by Allen Yee

After buying a house in the Catskills in April 2022, I wanted to create a meadow garden with native plants. I wanted to plant suitable for my planting zone, 5b, and add color and interest to my front yard. I started by researching online and reading a few books. Owen Wormser’s book Lawns to Meadows was the most helpful book in terms of plant selection and how to get started. Online, I either found extensive plant databases or nurseries. There wasn’t a site or tool where I could browse plants that would be suitable in a meadow garden and are readily available for sale. I created this visualization because I wished I had something like this in planning my own garden.
