Life and Death

In demographic statistics the difference between the number of births and deaths is called “natural balance”.

The infographic compares the natural balance of Germany's three biggest cities: Berlin, Hamburg and Munich.

It shows that many of Berlin's districts may become extinct in the future, while nearly all districts of Munich are flourishing.
