The global oxygen budget and its future projection by Muthesius Kunsthochschule

This project is an interactive visualization of a scientific publication on the topic of the global oxygen budget and its future projection from Jianping Huang et al. (2018).
It shows where and how much oxygen is taken from and given to the atmosphere by category. The scientists used data from the past to mathematically model a projection into the future of 2100 via RCP models.
The visualization is built with cables.gl, is web-based and uses 3D web.gl technologies to enable users to interact with 3D elements in any desktop browser.
