Bob Ross Paintings by Nicola Rennie
The Joy of Painting was a television show created and hosted by painter Bob Ross which taught techniques for creating landscape oil paintings. The show ran from 1983 1994 and, during that time, 403 paintings were created - each using a selection of 25 different colours of paint.
This abstract, artistic visualisation charts the popularity of each of the colours across all 31 seasons of the show. There is a strong presence of greens, browns, and yellows - reflecting the natural landscapes often painted by Bob Ross.
