Formula 1: The Exhibition Constructors Stream Graph by James Smith

Formula 1: The Exhibition launched in March 2023 in Madrid. The exhibition, which runs in the Spanish capital until August before setting off around venues across the world, explores the history, drama and glamour of a sport which captures the minds of so many fans across the world.

SportsChord was proud to have a number of displays on show at the exhibition including a mix of interactive and static installations.

The Constructors stream graph depicts the ebbs and flows of different teams over the sports' history, the width of the stream representing number of points scored in a particular season. The ever present Ferrari red at the top, McLaren's famous papaya and the more recent Mercedes and Red Bull teams dominating the 2010s & 20s.

In the exhibition, it is displayed as an 8m wide print at the back of the 'Revolution by Design' room. An interactive version, built in svelte is available at the website below.
