Deaths of Migrants By Year And By Border Patrol Sector by Jesús Daniel Gómez Hernández

In this project carried out for futuroinvestigates.org, we addressed the issue of migration, especially in the Arizona Desert, and how public policies have led to the migration flow occurring with riskier survival probabilities.

Each strip represents a Border Patrol sector, the width varies along the horizontal axis indicating the number of deaths, and are ordered in ascending order from lowest to highest.

Tucson, Rio Grande Valley and Laredo are the three sectors with the highest number of recovered remains between 1998 and 2020.
