Open Data Atlas of Budapest by Attila Bátorfy
We commemorate 150th anniversary of the unification of Buda, Pest and Óbuda into Budapest with a series of 50 alternative maps, mainly produced from open source or publicly available data. The maps explore Budapest's past and present, from its physical reality to human activity and social reality. The aim is to convey a vision that can shed light on the data and the conclusions that can be drawn from the data from a non-traditional perspective. The atlas also serves to draw attention to the fact that very little official government data is available to the public. For this reason, most of the data we have used comes from international databases and research. We have made also the data available for download.
