"Imagine you were an alien that arrived to Ireland via UFO on a Monday morning. You might gaze in wonder at the many humans leaving one box and going to a different box, often by means of a third box."

This is the premise of "Congested", a scrollytelling piece that playfully explores Census data in Ireland around commuting times and habits.

As you scroll through the piece, a clock ticks and commuters start to flood from home to work across different lanes. These lanes re-arrange themselves to tell a wider story around Ireland's car reliance and some of the contradictions at the heart of Ireland's growth in remote working.
