Global CO2 Emissions by National Bank of Pakistan
The "Global CO2 Emissions" dashboard, designed entirely in Tableau, integrates several advanced features, including Map Layers, Dynamic Zone Visibility, and Level of Detail (LOD) calculations, to provide an in-depth analysis of global CO2 emissions. It offers two main views: global CO2 emissions and CO2 emissions per capita, which can be easily toggled using the radio buttons located in the upper right corner. Users can hover over any country on the map to instantly display its detailed emission data on the left side of the screen, providing a clear, interactive way to explore the information.
Key features of the dashboard include a Yearly Filter, which enables users to filter the data by specific years to view how emissions have changed over time. The Yearly Trends section offers a dynamic visualization of emission trends, helping users understand how a selected country's emissions have evolved year by year. Additionally, the dashboard highlights the top CO2 emitting countries, making it easy to identify the major contributors to global emissions.
Another interesting feature is the GDP vs CO2 analysis, where users can examine the relationship between a country’s economic output (GDP) and its CO2 emissions. This section allows for a deeper understanding of how economic growth correlates with environmental impact, offering a comprehensive view of global emissions in context with economic development. The dashboard aims to not only provide data but also encourage critical thinking about the balance between economic progress and environmental sustainability.
