Grand Playbill transforms century-old Peking Opera playbills from the Capital Library into an interactive dual-screen installation. Visualizing over 3659 performers and their connections, it uncovers the hidden networks of theaters, actors and programes that sustained the art form. This interactive visual experience bridges historical artifacts and digital media design, encouraging viewers to rediscover forgotten contributors and the collective memory of Peking Opera. By confronting audiences with unfamiliar names, the project challenges the focus on iconic figures and provokes reflection on the forces behind historical erasure.
