Zhongzheng Hehe: Visual Design of Cultural Heritage Information for Beijing's Central Axis by Beijing Technology and Business University

The Beijing Central Axis is an urban axis stretching 7.8 kilometers in length. Architect Liang Sicheng once highly praised it as "the longest and greatest north-south central axis in the world," asserting that "the magnificent order unique to Beijing is created by the establishment of this axis," drawing focus to this remarkable feature.
Since 2011, Beijing has embarked on the journey of applying for World Heritage status for this "Greatest North-South Central Axis." In recent years, the application process has accelerated significantly. Throughout this journey, Beijing has strengthened its measures for protecting cultural relics, with hundreds of related conservation projects being announced and implemented. The revitalization of the ancient capital's ridge has also breathed new life into the old city of Beijing, gradually increasing public attention towards the Beijing Central Axis.
However, due to the historical depth and complexity of the information points along the Beijing Central Axis, the public often finds it challenging to gain a deeper understanding. To address this, the visual design of the Beijing Central Axis information employs a combination of graphics and text. This approach not only disseminates relevant knowledge about the Beijing Central Axis to the public but also adds an element of fun, playing a crucial role in promoting and raising awareness of this remarkable feature.
