Preventing Torture, Protecting Humanity by Nikki Perry

Torture, a practice many believe belongs to the past, continues to affect countless lives today and remains a critical issue that still needs to be addressed. This visualization celebrates the progress made in the global fight against torture. It highlights 40 years of positive advancements, emphasizing the collective efforts to reduce the occurrence of torture through the adoption of legal frameworks, policies, and institutional measures. This work was created as part of Viz for Social Good’s November project in collaboration with the Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT).
