India's Electoral Journey by Vijetha

General elections were held in India from 19 April to 1 June 2024 in seven phases, to elect all 543 members of the Lok Sabha. As India awaited the outcome of the 2024 General elections, this visualization was created to take a look at how India has voted in the past and reflect on the its electoral journey.

This visual narrative doesn't just display election results, it intertwines them with the landmark events that could have shaped each outcome. I like to look at it as a visual story of India's electoral history.
