Traditional financial reporting, typically in tabular format, notoriously fails to take advantage of the benefits of data visualization, including speed to insight, accuracy of insight, and improved engagement. At best, this means that financial planning and analysis practitioners are unable to scale insights by making them digestible for decision-makers. At worst, a lack of clear visibility into key performance metrics can cause harm to an organization.
