'Building a Climate Conscious India': Conscious Trends Report, 2024 by Revisual Labs

Climate change continues to pose a significant challenge, especially in India which is highly vulnerable to climate extremities. However, active steps can be taken to mitigate the effects of climate change, particularly in the building sector.
‘Building a Climate Conscious India’ is a data-driven report designed to explore key decarbonisation solutions for the built environment and their feasibility. This 100 page report is an effort towards raising the collective consciousness of the building sector stakeholders and encouraging the adoption of low-carbon building solutions in their practices.
To support these points, the report brings together data visualisation, illustration, maps and graphic design to create visuals that tell a story about the data in creative and impactful ways. It seeks to make this information more engaging and accessible to stakeholders in the building sector, the general public, researchers, policymakers, governments, and more. Through a sequence of more than 50 charts, diagrams and illustrations, it emphasises a key takeaway: as the centrepiece of global climate policy, decarbonisation in the building sector is a crucial strategy to limit the Earth’s rising temperatures to 1.5 – 2°C.
