In 2021, in Italy there was a significant increase in the rate of childhood obesity. This trend has its roots in family dynamics and sedentary lifestyle. Another cause is the high exposure of children to digital devices, through which they come into contact with numerous advertisements that sponsor junk food. The solution to the problem lies in adequate and effective communication of food products harmful to the health of the child and his family. It is necessary to educate about the correct reading of labels and offer valid healthier alternatives to ultra-processed products.
