Interactive Compass of the digital transformation by Superdot Studio – visualizing complexity

How can we show TAXPAYERS how their funds are being used within the canton and which projects are being realized in the field of DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION? What information do BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVES need, and what do the ADMINISTRATION’S OWN EMPLOYEES require? At the core lies TRANSPARENCY – a symbol of TRUST in the COMMUNITY and an invitation to participate.

With the «Digital Compass», we supported this DEMOCRATIC PROCESS. Developed in collaboration with the Canton of Zug through workshops, this TOOL brings the canton’s DIGITAL STRATEGY to life, with each project visualized as a unique DNA-LIKE SEQUENCE in an interactive website showcasing key KPIs and project details.

The playful design so impressed the Canton that it evolved into the first POLITICALLY NEUTRAL DATA CAMPAIGN. In TODAY'S POLITICALLY CHARGED TIMES, this project demonstrates how, in our ROLE AS DESIGNERS, we can BUILD BRIDGES and create a more INFORMED world.
