me on scan by Kosara Keskinova

Me on Scan is a personal exploration of my daily habits and thoughts, captured through a creative process of observation and visual representation. The project focuses on three interconnected aspects of my life: thoughts, activities, and what I eat. To begin, I manually documented my daily experiences, writing down observations that reflected not just factual data but the emotions and impressions behind them. This approach shifted the focus from objective numbers to a more subjective and creative interpretation of my daily patterns.

The goal was to uncover commonalities across these three areas and develop a unified visual language to represent them. Through this process, I created a series of short animated videos where motion played a pivotal role in the data visualization. The speed, rhythm, and movement in the animations became a meaningful layer of communication, conveying the nuances of my observations in a way that traditional visual elements like color and form could not.

Rather than adhering to conventional methods of data visualization, this project embraces a more fluid and expressive approach, prioritizing the "feeling" of the data over its precision. Me on Scan is both a reflection and an experiment, blending introspection with design to explore how everyday habits and thoughts can be transformed into a dynamic, visual narrative.
