Drawing on the same data that powers Google Maps and Google Earth, Project Sunroof uses high-resolution aerial mapping to calculate every roof’s solar energy potential -- and to determine how much a home could save by installing solar panels. A person can simply type in their address, discover their roof’s solar potential, and easily connect with local solar providers if they’d like to take the next step.
