The Color of Wealth Project by Graphicacy

The Color of Wealth research series—produced by Graphicacy for the Institute on Race, Power, and Political Economy at The New School—examines wealth by race, ethnicity and national origin in the context of specific locations and histories. Graphicacy designed and built unique scrollytelling stories for seven metropolitan regions in the United States, as an introduction and gateway to each research report. Each story uses clear and concise data viz to illustrate disparities in wealth outcomes. The entire series is introduced by an animated video, which explains the difference between wealth and income, coupled with humanizing historical context.
