Fiscal 50: State Trends and Analysis by Graphicacy
Pew Charitable Trusts partnered with Graphicacy to modernize their Fiscal 50 platform, a decade-old resource tracking states' fiscal health through interactive visualizations. The redesigned site features landing pages for each of the eight key indicators, as well as dynamic state profile pages. Each of these pages combines narrative with interactive data plots and an automated dynamic text engine, which powers auto-updated data-driven text displays, allowing Pew to write narrative text with tokens that can be replaced by data values. This new platform enables Pew's team to efficiently maintain timely and relevant fiscal analysis while providing policymakers, media, and the public with an enhanced user experience. The project includes a custom toolkit for ongoing site management and future expansions.
