OFERTA EDUCATIVA EN LA CDMX by Brenda Battaglia Andrade

"""Educational Offer in Mexico City"" is a data visualization project that analyzes the spatial distribution of preschools and primary schools in relation to demographic and socioeconomic factors. The project presents three thematic maps that highlight school density, infrastructure availability, and the correlation between student-teacher ratios and household income.

To develop these visualizations, I conducted interviews with experts in educational planning and compiled data from official sources, including Mexico City’s Open Data Portal and the Secretariat of Public Education. Using QGIS, I processed geographic data layers, CSV files, and shapefiles, refining the final visuals in Adobe Illustrator to enhance clarity and interpretation.

The study reveals how school location, access to public spaces, and infrastructure conditions intersect with income distribution. By exposing these patterns, the project aims to contribute to a broader conversation on educational accessibility in an urban landscape marked by inequality."
