Internal Hemorrhage Caused by Blunt Trauma by School of Visual Arts
The data visualization project focuses on the challenges of diagnosing and managing internal hemorrhage caused by blunt abdominal trauma. The project is divided into two key components: External Symptoms and the Chain of Survival. Internal bleeding from blunt trauma is often insidious and difficult to detect, with clinical signs being subtle or not immediately apparent. The first part of the visualization highlights the common external symptoms that can signal internal hemorrhage but may be easily overlooked. The second part explores the fragmented trauma care workflow, emphasizing the lack of integration between diagnosis and treatment, which leads to delays in intervention and worsens patient outcomes. By visualizing these processes, the project aims to raise awareness of the gaps in trauma care and propose more efficient, streamlined workflows to improve the diagnosis and treatment of internal bleeding, ultimately enhancing survival rates for patients with blunt abdominal trauma.
