Where's the Youth? by Ansgar Wolsing

This high-resolution grid map visualizes the share of young people (ages 15-24) across Germany, using a graduated blue color scale to highlight areas with a higher proportion of youth. Lighter shades indicate regions where young people make up a larger percentage of the population, while darker areas have lower concentrations.

The visualization leverages data from Meta’s Data for Good via the Humanitarian Data Exchange and is designed to reveal population patterns, particularly in urban centers and university cities. It invites exploration of demographic trends across Germany.
