Navigating Buddhist Philosophies through the Wheel of Life by National Institute of Design, Bangalore

The Wheel of Life is painted at the entrance wall of monasteries to remind disciples about the core principles and also to give newbies a glimpse into Buddhist tenets. Though supremely resourceful, it can be intimidating at first, due to the sheer amount of detail in its imagery. The need for a conceptual breakdown of Buddhist philosophies using the Wheel of Life arises from the desire to simplify complex concepts, enhance understanding across cultural and linguistic barriers, and make Buddhist teachings applicable and relevant in various contexts, especially for visual learners.
