Anatomía de una actuación by Rafael Höhr

'Anatomía de una actuación' is an interpretative histogram, a simple infographic exercise based on admiration for the work and creativity of the actress Ana López Segovia and her Carnaval de Cádiz street theatre performance: ‘La Feminista blandengue’.

It is a linear graphic representation of a theatrical-popular street show brimming with content, message and wit.

The graph aims to show the evolution of the levels of intensity perceived in the street around the performance, contextualising the turning points with the key moments of the performance, the silences and the laughter of the audience that crowds in the street around the character.

The plot of the work: the sociological documentation of a ‘species’ and its narration by the researcher, a carnivalesque satire (typical of the street carnival of Cádiz) of the desperate reality of the woman who survives work, motherhood and living together.

The first part of the work is the recording of the video in the street, to later extract the elements of the infographic (audio, images, text) separately and thus be able to play with the different variables.

To capture on paper the development of this pseudo-academic parody, what better than the classic histogram that we usually use for economics.

The key moments are accompanied by micro-illustrations of the foreshortenings and poses of the actress.
