What dishes do residents of different cities order on Yandex Eats? by LLC Yandex

We decided to explore which delivery dishes are particularly popular among residents of major Russian cities. While burgers hold the leading position across all cities, interesting regional differences emerged: in some areas, local cuisine is especially popular, while in others, the influence of neighboring countries and regions is noticeable.

For instance, in several cities in southern Russia, Greek gyros are particularly popular, while in the eastern part of the country, steamed bao buns, a common treat in Asian countries, are in high demand.

We presented the project in the form of an interactive narrative, where we gradually highlight the most interesting geographical patterns in food consumption across Russia.
