Brooch in memory of Murzik by Ivashechkina Anna Andreevna

I lost my best friend at the beginning of 2024. My beloved cat, Murzik, who lived with us for almost 13 years, passed away. It was hard to come to terms with it or move on, so I decided to create something that would remind me of him.

That's how the idea of the brooch came about. It wasn't easy to count and encode cat's life, but the result was worth those days spent thinking and sketching.

Now you can see how long his life lasted, how many nicknames he had, what his favorite foods were, his name and even the colors of his eyes.

Creating this data-art was a kind of healing process (or art therapy), but I still miss him a lot.
