Just keep running by Louise Shorten

This was a quantified-self project based on data collected using the MapMyRun software. It’s a visualisation of the number of kilometres I ran over the course of just under a year and a half. It can be read clockwise, starting at the 12 o’clock mark. The graphical representation shows the contrast between the shorter training runs (some just 1km or less) and the long runs, with the longest line of all showing the my first marathon at a distance of just over 42k. You can see the progression over time as you follow the lines around the circle, with increasing lengths added over time. When growth is gradual, it becomes achievable, and allows you to reach targets you never would have believed possible!
