With the longlist announced and the shortlist on its way, here's another seven of our expert judging panel. The views of these expert judges will be supplemented by a public vote once the shortlist is released next Tues 27 Sep.

Marius Watz (NO) is an artist working with visual abstraction through generative software processes. Watz has exhibited at venues like the Victoria & Albert Museum (London), Todaysart (The Hague), ITAU Cultural (Sao Paulo), Museumsquartier (Vienna), and Galleri ROM (Oslo).

Kim is co-founder and data designer at Periscopic,a socially-conscious data visualization firm that helps companies and organizations promote information transparency and public awareness.

Moritz Stefaner was nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany and is a multiple winner of the Kantar Information is Beautiful awards. His work has been exhibited at Venice Biennale of Architecture, SIGGRAPH, Ars Electronica and the Max Planck Science Gallery. He also publishes the Data Stories podcast together with Enrico Bertini.

Rachel Binx is a design technologist who specializes in creating internal visualization tools, for places such as NASA JPL and the NYTimes. Her personal work is primarily interested in maps, geodata, and the ways that individuals connect with their own data. These explorations result in projects like Meshu and Monochome, both creating physical objects based on the users’ personal data.
