We love the user-friendly simplicity of UK Temperature History, an interactive data viz by Brighton-based designer, Peter Cook.

Over 100 years of temperatures in Blighty can be sorted in order of date, hottest months, coldest months and hottest years on average.

The warmest month ever? That’ll be the heatwave of July 2006 when rail lines buckled and almost 700 people died.
