David Leonhardt and his team at The Upshot have worked with Climate Central to make this incredible interactive dataviz showing the number of people that will be affected by regular flooding in the next 100 years.

It’s a great example of how uncertainty can be factored into data viz without compromising on the story. Filters allow the viewer to see both best and worst-case scenarios yet one thing above all becomes clear: we should expect far more regular flooding in the future.
