Save the date: Attend the 2022 IIB Awards Ceremony

This year’s IIB Awards Ceremony will bring back the elegance, enthusiasm, fun, and whimsy of Awards Ceremonies past. Data visualization enthusiasts from around the world will gather November 30th in Washington DC at Hook Hall, and can, for the first time, join the event virtually through our Awards Ceremony livestream!

How will you join this year’s celebration?

You can participate in the fun and excitement of this year’s Awards ceremony by:

  • Joining in person (Hook Hall): Attend the Awards and mingle with data viz creators and leaders while snacking on small bites and sipping on celebratory drinks. Purchase tickets on Eventbrite. If you purchase the Gold ticket or donate more than $150 for the virtual event, we are happy to offer a one-year General paid membership to DVS (learn more about DVS membership options), which includes access to networking spaces, partner discounts, and more.
  • Tune in virtually: Join the celebration with the livestream, hosted to make the excitement of the evening more globally accessible. Details on how to join virtually are coming soon.
  • Celebrate and connect at a watch party: Data viz meetups and local communities are welcome to host their own watch parties of the livestream! Select DVS local groups will be hosting watch parties open to our members and, in some locations, open to the public. Let us know if you are planning to host a livestream in your city, company, or university by contacting  events@datavisualizationsociety.org.

Two days of engaging data viz workshops

To expand the celebration of data visualization excellence around the Awards Ceremony this year, DVS will be hosting two days of workshops leading up to the big event. Tuesday, November 29 will focus on learning: hands on skill building in different data viz tools, highlighting how design processes differ across tools. Wednesday, November 30 will focus on inspiration with speakers talking about the data visualization industry, current sticky challenges we face as practitioners, and design excellence. Ticket information and a full agenda will be available soon, with options for virtual attendance and a limited number of seats at the events in Washington DC.
