The visualization is created using Tableau software, and some design elements are created with MS PowerPoint. The viz showcases the popular ramen brands (nearly 3,300 varieties) from around 45 different countries, and the personal ratings by the ramen rater, Hans Lienesch. The data is taken from theramenrater.com Nearly 47% of the ramen varieties in the dataset fall under ratings 3.1 to 4.0. The visualization is built with a combination of map, sigmoid curves, sankey chart, jitter plots, and bar charts.
