A Thousand Books by KTH Royal Institute of Technology

We love reading books. In today’s age, many have difficulties finding the right one to get lost in - having too many options can make it hard to make a satisfactory choice. On the Same Page visualizes hundreds of books using a filterable scatterplot and provides detailed information to assist you in your search for the next read. Our idea was to provide a tool where users could arrange the books in different ways to enable serendipity and provide different forms of enticing the user, arousing the user's curiosity, and offering pathways to dig deeper into the data. This was a school project for the course "Information Visualization", in the Interactive Media Technology master's.
