How does education spending relate to development? by Tecnologico de Monterrey
My project explores the relationship between education spending and economic development. Using data from the IMD Business School's Global Talent Ranking and other sources, I analyzed key indicators such as GDP growth, teacher-student ratios, and learning outcomes. Additionally, I considered regional differences and conducted an interview with a public education teacher in Monterrey to gain a more personal perspective on the factors contributing to effective education.
Through my findings, I observed that education investment alone does not directly correlate with economic growth or learning outcomes. This is likely due to the multifactorial nature of these phenomena. However, I believe these insights can help inform more nuanced policy decisions and strategies for education investment. My poster combines data analysis and narratives to present these conclusions in an engaging and comprehensive way.
